Weekly Farmers Market 8.13

The Town of Vienna is a historic and welcoming rural community located in northern Oneida County, known for its rich agricultural roots, scenic landscapes, and strong sense of local pride. Established in the early 19th century, Vienna developed as a farming community, with generations of families cultivating the land and contributing to the region’s food supply. Its proximity to Oneida Lake and neighboring communities like Sylvan Beach has long made it a place where agriculture, recreation, and small-town life come together.
Today, Vienna continues to thrive as a close-knit community where neighbors support one another, local organizations play an active role, and traditions remain deeply valued. Volunteerism—especially through groups like the North Bay Fire Department—helps define the town’s character, while local businesses, farms, and community events bring residents together throughout the year.
At the heart of this community spirit is the Vienna Farmers Market, a program that reflects both Vienna’s agricultural heritage and its forward-looking commitment to accessibility, education, and economic opportunity.

Today, the Vienna Farmers Market serves as a vibrant community destination featuring fresh, local fruits and vegetables, baked goods, a wide variety of farm products, handmade crafts, and more. Visitors enjoy affordable food prepared by the NBFD Master Grillers, the popular Vienna Car Cruise, weekly live music, the Homestead Homeschool program, monthly Maker’s Day for local artisans, and the Central New York Antique Tractor Club meet-ups.

Up on the Adirondack Bank Stage this week: Really Roy (Roy Reehil)
Roy Reehil—aka Really Roy—started his music journey in 1978, playing in bands, writing songs, and performing hundreds of shows over a decade. Back then, music lived on cassettes, vinyl, and live stages.
Fast forward to today, Roy realized his music still feels fresh to new listeners. That sparked “Really Roy,” a way to share his past and present music with old fans and new audiences alike.
If you ever caught one of his shows—or you’re hearing him for the first time—you’re in for a great listen.
