Y’s Creations – Giving Fabric a Second Life

Lori of Y’s Creations brings a true hometown story to the Vienna Farmers Market. Growing up right here in Vienna as one of ten kids, making do, fixing things, and finding new uses for what others might throw away wasn’t just a skill—it was a way of life.

Today, Lori carries that same mindset into her craft. She rescues upholstery fabrics that would otherwise end up discarded and transforms them into beautiful, useful creations. Each piece has its own story, and many are truly one-of-a-kind—blending durability, creativity, and a touch of homestead ingenuity.

Alongside her repurposed work, Lori is also a dedicated quilter. She carefully sources cotton fabrics from estate sales and garage sales, giving them new purpose in the hands of fellow makers. At Maker’s Day, she’ll be offering a variety of fabrics perfect for quilting and other sewing crafts—whether you’re an experienced quilter or just getting started.

Stop by, meet Lori, and see how yesterday’s materials can become something meaningful again—only at the Vienna Farmers Market Maker’s Day.
